Dr Owaise Sharif

Dr Owaise Sharif is an Orthodontist and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester. He completed his specialist orthodontic training in Manchester followed by higher training to consultant level at the Eastman Dental Hospital, London. He worked as a Consultant Orthodontist at the Eastman Dental Hospital from 2017–2022 and completed his PhD at UCL in 2022.

Owaise and his family relocated to North Wales in 2022 to take over

Greenacre Orthodontics. He also served as a Consultant Orthodontist at Glan

Clwyd Hospital until 2025. In 2025, he was appointed Senior Clinical Lecture in Orthodontics at the University of Manchester, where he is Programme Director for the MSc in Orthodontics. He also sits on the Educational Committee of the British Orthodontic Society.

He has authored and over 70 peer‑reviewed publications and has lectured nationally and internationally on a range of orthodontic topics.

Outside of work, he enjoys theatre, comedy, travelling, and exploring new cuisines.
