AM - Periodontology in Primary Dental Care This session is aimed at the GDP’s and hygienist working in primary dental care. The focus will be to revise the underlying mechanisms of disease and how this relates to treatment in a primary care setting. There will be a practical focus to the session aiming to illustrate the concepts discussed, with cases as well as providing practical tips and tricks. PM - Introduction to Dental Photography This session is a combined theoretical and practical session aimed to give clinicians a solid foundation to dental photography and confidently be able to take photographs in clinical practice. There will be time to practice the theory taught, and flexibility to discuss wider topics in the field of photography should delegates wish. PM - Hygienists Breakout Session Integrating Preventive Protocols in Primary Dental Care: A Lifestyle Medicine Approach By Kate Reading & Lisa Knowles To equip dental hygienists and therapists with the knowledge and practical skills to implement effective preventive protocols in primary dental care, focusing on risk assessment and supporting sustainable patient behaviour change using coaching techniques and lifestyle medicine principles.
